In 10.13 High Sierra, Apple has so inconsiderately forced another keybinding on us: control-command-q
This will forthwith proceed to lock your screen. I previously used this key combination for quitting certain apps and now this has entirely stopped my workflow.
Is there any way to stop this screen lock behavior? I am not seeing it in the System Preferences. I don’t see a way to edit the .GlobalPreferences.plist either.
I don’t have High Sierra installed on a machine, but my understanding is that the Lock Screen option is shown under the Apple menu. To change the built-in shortcut, simple go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts and create a new shortcut in the App Shortcuts section under the All Applications heading.
