Application Switcher - Change to last Window only

Hello,
I am very new to KM. So far I really love the application switcher. But my needs are very diffrent from what the application switcher offers at the end of the day. When I let go of the Keys it will bring all the windows of the selected application to the front. However, in nearly 90% of the time, I only need the last activated window of the application.

For example, I have 6 Firefox windows open, but only use one for the current task at hand. Is there a possibility I can tweak the application switcher so it would fit my needs? Caus all of the other options of it I really love.

Thanks for reading, and I wish a good weekend

Whether this works with KM, I don't know. But AltTab does exactly what you want. The app is small and free.

Thank you both for your quick replay!
I will try out both suggestions. Already looked into the KM files, and this gave me a better idea how powerfull KM macros can be, really appreciate that as well

Have a wonderfull weekend!

Did you look at the application switcher manual page here; manual:Application Switcher [Keyboard Maestro Wiki] ?

It mentions “switch just the front window instead of all windows” that’s configurable from the switcher menu.

Don’t know if that’s what you’re after but it might be.

Thank you! This is 100% what I have been looking for and works perfectly!

Sadly I was looking at this page: Keyboard Maestro 5 Documentation: Application Switcher

You’re welcome - glad to know it hit the spot! Maybe you’d mark my post as the solution so future readers will see…

Heh - there’s so much I don’t know about KM that my first two stops are always the manual and this forum. After that - well there’s always Chris and Peter!
