Hello. I want to assign the macOS command, Shift+Command+4 (Capture a Selected Portion of the Screen), to a key on my keyboard, like the "Print Screen" key. Can Keyboard Maestro do this? If so, how? I can not find an action for this in the lists. Thanks.
Try this, I think it will work. Insert the Print Screen key inside the hot key box... (I don't have a Print Screen key so you'll have to improvise that.)
The action you want is Type a Keystroke. It's in the Interface Control folder if you're browsing the actions; personally, I find it much easier and faster to use ⌃⌘A to insert actions by name. So you could send the keystroke and assign whichever other keyboard key as the trigger.
But in this case it might be more expedient to change the macOS keyboard shortcut directly in System Settings -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Screenshots
Thanks, hemicyon. That is the simplest approach, which I initially could not find in the system settings.
