Automatically add watermark / text to PDF file

Hallo Keyboardmaestros,

I’m currently looking into adding a text (different every time, provided by user prompt) to all pages of an existing PDF file (in the bottom). Does anybody have an idea how this could be achieved?

Playing around with PDFExpert and Preview so far has not been very fruitful; especially since the text cannot be placed at a specific position automatically (or I wasn’t creative enough to find a way)…

In another thread someone mentioned PDFTK. Reading the description of their 3 offerings, it looks like they can do this. I’m personally considering PDFTK Server and the 25 PDF Hacks O’Reilly book advertised on that page.
