Automating key strokes

I am new to Keyboard Maestro. So, apologies upfront if this question is too basic. I want to simulate pressing a TAB and a SPACE on a web site that I access via a Firefox browser. Does Keyboard Maestro simulate the TAB and the SPACE as though they are coming from the underlying OS X operating system as opposed to a simulation within the browser?

Hey @aham,

Use the Type a Keystroke action to do this.

OR

The Insert Text by Typing action.

Thanks, Chris. Will the keystroke appear to the web site as though they are coming straight from the MAC OS? I ask because the web site does not accept hot keys from JavaScript
