Broken: Open with PDF expert Macro (v11.0.2)

my shortcut to open PDFs in PDF Expert from the desktop has stopped working
a single click to select the desktop PDF then my hyper key + \ would always open the file before
the Open in.. option does work for PDF expert but that is tedious and the reason this macro was great

I now get this popup error ( 2 pop up windows actually if that helps...)

The application "PDFExpert.app"
can't be opened.

My files and folders access for PDF expert IS turned ON for Desktop and iCloud Drive

any thoughts?

There's a very long thread on this (several, in fact). Here's one:

"The Application Can't Be Opened"

I have a bunch of macros just like this one for opening files in the Finder with specific applications. Just recently these have all started to fail with an error message like this one (screenshot below). Actually TWO of these error messages pop up every time. I've tried going back to the macro and re-selecting the Numbers app (e.g.) again to make sure KM is seeing the app correctly. It is. Anyone got any ideas? Basically, it's a glitch in the OS, and there are some things in there to try to resolve it. And I'm not quite sure if I'm reading Peter's last post properly, but there may be a workaround fix coming in a future update.
