Bundle two backups into one?

I have to Keyboard Maestro backup files. One on a personal Mac and one on work Mac. I want to import all the macros from both into both the laptop. Dropbox synchronization replaces each other.

Backup files cannot be imported, they can only replace an existing Keyboard Maestro Macros.plist file. And even then you need to stop Keyboard Maestro and Keyboard Maestro Engine, and be careful with syncing that they don’t immediately get overwritten with existing macros. They are really only an emergency measure.

You could use one, export all the macros, then use the other, then import the previously exported file. You might end up with duplicated macros though.

They are XML, so it is possible to edit them manually if you are very careful.

Ah. Is there any chance that Keyboard Maestro developers will implement this in the near future?

I’m afraid not.
