Can Keyboard Maestro trigger an iOS shortcut?

I have an iOS shortcut to start a timer in an app on my iPhone. When I try to run the shortcut from my Mac, I get the message "The shortcut could not be run because an action could not be found."

Is there any way Keyboard Maestro can run the shortcut on my iPhone but triggered from my Mac?

KM forum search revealed this which you should find helpful:

Thanks I read that thread before posting, but if I am correct, they trigger the shortcut at a particular time of day or temperature. I need to trigger the shortcut at any moment.

Just change the trigger to whatever you like.

Hi, @layo. There are several methods to trigger a shortcut on your iPhone, but the simplest method might be to create a macro that makes a change that could be detected by an iOS Shortcuts Automation.

Several events can trigger an iOS automation including:

  1. Receiving an email from a specific sender.
  2. Receiving a message from a specific sender.
  3. A change to a Focus Mode.

I may be overlooking something simpler, but one approach would be to:

  1. Create a macro that runs a macOS shortcut.
  2. The macOS shortcut changes the Focus Mode on your mac. (If you've configured Focus Modes to affect all iCloud devices, the focus change will be reflected on your iPhone.)
  3. The iOS device Shortcut Automation could run a shortcut on your iPhone.

The following thread doesn't directly address your question, but you might find some of the information also helpful.

Someone else on the forum might suggest something simpler, but the steps above should do the trick. Feel free to follow-up with additional questions.

I'm hoping that in future version of iOS I can get shortcuts to access Health data while the phone is locked. I just want my steps !!! So many automations would be possible if I could achieve this.
