Can the Mouse Scroll Wheel Be Used as a Trigger?

I love Keyboard Maestro to death, but highly disappointing that such an powerful and obvious tool such as KM can't use the mouse scroll as a trigger in the 10th iteration of its software.

The only way to do this is to buy Steermouse which is now what I must do :-\

Keyboard Maestro is not a mouse driver and isn't ever going to be one, so alas – you'll just have to bear with your disappointment.

Of course you could always complain to Apple and ask them to create more public APIs for their developers...

@ccstone I'm confused. You make it seem like it's a technical impossibility to get this done. Steermouse has this functionality even in Ventura. What is the point you're trying to make?

@cdthomer Very true my friend. I am truly grateful for KM and I love you guys and the dev. <3

SteerMouse is a mouse driver – Keyboard Maestro is not and will never be.

Two different animals.

SteerMouse is a Mouse driver, correct. But it is not a needed one, if we could use scroll wheel steps as trigger in KM. (I know that SM offers way more things, but I'm not talking about these, and I do not really need these, they can be reduplicated (except for the speed/acceleration settings) with KM or similar programs.)
