I have a macro group that is only "available in specific applications", and I need to be able to disable that macro group using another macro. However, that doesn't seem to be supported in Keyboard Maestro.
Of course, if I make the macro group available in all applications, it disables as expected.
Can anyone explain to me why this limitation exists in Keyboard Maestro? Is it intentional?
Are you saying the Action available called Set Macro Or Group Enable is not working? When added to a Macro, it looks like this, and includes the ability to Enable or Disable a specific Macro or Macro Group.
Okay I guess I hadn't tried "Set Macro or Group Enable" in the most recent version of my macro — that one works!
That said, "Deactivate Macro Group" and "Activate Macro Group" still do not work, which is what I was trying when I posted this. Maybe a bug, or I'm missing something.
"Enable/Disable" is not the same as "Activate/Deactivate".
There's posts about the difference and it's also discussed in the manual. Concentrate on the examples given, they'll probably be more practical help more than the explanation.
And when you do understand it -- please explain it to me!
