I have a school test where you have to write an essay on the spot, using my macbook. I have written the essay beforehand and used a macro before, but for my academic future I have come up with a more save plan. I am trying to make a macro where it doesnt matter wich key I press, the next character of my pre-written (chatgpt) essay comes out. that way I have full control over the speed of my fake writing and there is almost no way for me to be suspected. Can someone give me some usefull information about what I am doing wrong, because I did all of chatgpt's steps but it is not working.
Look, I appreciate your honesty. A lot of people aren't as honest as you are. I'm not the morality police, but how does cheating help your academic future? You're actually harming your future with short term gain for long term pain.
That's easy! But that's not going to help you (much) to avoid getting caught, because anyone looking at you can see you aren't typing what's coming out. I'm preparing my lunch right now and I think it's burning, so maybe (that means maybe) I'll give you a solution after lunch.
while first off its an essay for my native language, and for my future study I have no use for it since I am going a whole different direction. Its just that I have to pass in order to be able to go for my actual desired study. I am almost certain that with this idea the teachers will not notice a thing since I used a default macro on previous exams which literally typed without me moving a finger. I acted like I was typing. They only really keep an eye on which tab you are. This idea is just to avoid unnecessary stress hahahaha.
Well, I made my point about cheating, so I'll still post a solution for you. I've tested my solution. It's not too bad, but there may be better ways to do it. What you do is you load the variable "MyEssay" with your text, then you Enable the Macro Group where the following macro is stored, then you switch over to whatever application you are supposed to be typing this in, then you fake type your essay, and at the end the macro will disable its own group.
It's not going to help much if someone looks at your hands when you are typing. Anyone with an IT IQ above 75 could see you are cheating. There may be simpler (or other) ways to do this, but try this out and see if you like it.
P.S. I intentionally am forcing you to create this macro manually as your penalty for doing this.
Well thanks a lot, I will try it out tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed your lunch.
I have considered this topic and what to do about it, and have decided I'm going to close and lock it.
I do not want to get in to moral policing, and clearly there is an issue here with languages and unfair hurdles that may impose, but using Keyboard Maestro to cheat is not the correct solution or something that I am willing to allow on the forum.
