Capthure the days print log

One of the challenges I am having is remembering what I have printed over a days time. As I am assembling a large project I may use different versions of a document. Of course it would be best if I had a better memory or if I finally killed off all my duplicate files or files from earlier revisions.

I was just wondering if there is a way to query what has passed through a print que over a period of time?

Thanks

There is but you may regret asking.

MacOS uses the CUPS printing system (https://www.cups.org) which can display a list of completed jobs. You can access CUPS's Web interface (http://localhost:631) to see the list (http://localhost:631/jobs?which_jobs=all).

You do first have to enable the Web interface by entering "cupsctl WebInterface=yes" in Terminal.

Thanks.
