Clipboard Hell

I am a longtime Keyboard Maestro user and haven’t had issues until recently. My clipboard history is growing out of control with constant screenshots (that I didn’t copy) after a minute over 200 are in the clipboard history clipper. Also, I’ve lost the ability for basic copy and paste, It used to be that if I chose the Paste menu item under Keyboard Maestro’s menu bar icon, I could see a list of my recently clipped items as text, I’ve lost that functionality! All I get is the single choice of “Activate Clipboard History Switcher”

Going to Clipboard Setting. There is no System Clipboard or Default Clipboard??

I have deleted Keyboard Maestro and everything in ~/Library/Application Support/Keyboard Maestro, then restarted MacBook Pro, downloaded KM v11, and installed KM same behavior as before. The engine captures the screen constantly and puts those screenshots on the clipboard. If KM is running and I paste, I get the most recent screenshot.

Basic copy and paste only works if I quit KM engine

That very much sounds like you've got "periodic" or constantly-running macro that's taking screenshots for you. Check the KM Engine log (open ~/Library/Logs/Keyboard Maestro/Engine.log in Console or similar) to see what macros are being triggered.
