Contextual Computing Macros

Keyboard Maestro Newbie Here with two suggestions:

  1. I'd like to vote in favor of an earlier suggestion that a new topic for Newbies be added to make them easier to find, and not impose on more skilled users; and

  2. I'd also like to suggest a new category of Contextual Computing Macros ala MacSparkey's very helpful Keyboard Meastro Field Guide. For example, a single macro to load both OmniFocus and your Calendar for ease of planning, etc. A baby like me will eventually figure out how to create macros like this but only after hours and hours of trial and error, but also these might be very popular with the users of this forum.

Stay safe, folks.

The Keyboard Maestro Forum is a user-forum, and Peter doesn't have time to read all the posts anymore.

Here's a starting point:

Getting Started

Look through all the menus in the Keyboard Maestro Editor to get an idea of what's there.

Pay especial attention to the Edit › Insert <Menu_Name> items and their keyboard shortcuts.

Don't spend hours beating your head against the wall. If you get stuck for more than half an hour ask on the forum.

If you haven't read this it's worth a couple of minutes of your time.

How to Post Your Macro to the Forum

Global Macro with a keyboard shortcut:

Activate a Specific Application action.

One action for Calendar.
One action for OmniFocus.

The sky is the limit.
