Convert text in Named Clipboard to Ordered List

Hi.

I am Sslecting a list of items, copying them to a Named Clipboard, while in the NC I would like the list items to become an Ordered List (numbered), so that I can Paste an Ordered List from the NC. Any suggestions? Should be easy but I am not sure what action or how to modify the list within the NC.

The below example macro will show you how to do what (I think) you want.

But if the list is a text list you might not need a named clipboard - a variable should do.

I wonder if the unexplained context is Markdown text ?

Ordered list in the sense of an integer prefix followed by a period and a space ?

Or ordered list in the sense of HTML markup perhaps ?
