I have my pictures folder on my hard drive. In my pictures folder I have 40 subfolders, which cover years and projects. I have a copy of my pictures folder and sub folders on my Diskstation.
Is there a workflow I can create with Keyboard Maestro, where anything I create or delete in my pictures folder or sub folders on my hard drive, can also be mirrored in My pictures folder and sub folders on my diskstation?
Firstly, make sure you have good backups before attempting any mirroring activity.
Keyboard Maestro could potentially do this, but really a dedicated mirroring tool is the right choice (possibly driven by Keyboard Maestro).
You can use the shell command rsync for this - it is rather complicated, but there are lots and lots of tutorials and instructions on how to set this sort of thing out.
Alternatively, and probably generally better, use a Mac app designed for the purpose. I’m not sure what would be best, perhaps CarbonCopyCloner? I’m sure there are quite a few.
