I would like to use KM with my Kensington Expert Mouse in order to program the extra mouse buttons the way I used to be able to with MouseWorks on Mac OS 10.6.
I found this guide but the problem is that when I select Device Trigger none of the buttons on my Expert Mouse are being recognised by KM. I currently have TrackballWorks v. 1.20 installed on Mac OS 10.8.5 and the driver works fine as does the System Preference Pane.
Thank you very much for your reply, Peter. You are absolutely right, this is exactly what’s happening. It works when I uninstall the driver but not the way I want it to and I am also losing functionality like pointer acceleration. So I will have to carry on using Trackballworks without being able to program my buttons like I used to able to.
Did you ever find a solution to this? I’m trying to use KM to perform one key stroke when the top left button on my kensington expert mouse is pressed but a different key stroke when I hold down shift and press the same button. I can’t work out how to get KM to see the correct trigger from the mouse. Does anyone have any ideas?
