Experiment: Single Key Triggers / Letters "is release"

I don't know if anyone is interested in this, but I did an experiment. :slightly_smiling_face:

I changed all letters and the spacebar to "is release". (Normally a letter is typed on "is pressed").

The feeling when typing is good. While everything is slightly delayed, it's not particularly annoying (you can get used to it) but most importantly, there are no letter twists because all keys work the same.

With @noisneil's Multipress macro, you can now start a macro with any letter with long press. I used "Snappiest".

Conclusion: If you accept the slight delay, you can type just as fast and error-free as always, but start any single key trigger macros at the same time.

So far, I haven't noticed anything negative. Shortcuts (modifier + letter) work as usual.

Am I missing something?

Do you mean you set up macros to swallow the original keypress and type each via KM letter upon release?

This for each letter

Ah, except for the letters that your macro takes over :slightly_smiling_face:

Final Judgment.

The typing works well. But problems occur in various places, for example with the palettes.

So, it was a nice try, but forget about it

I see the experiment as a success. You figured something out.
