One of these things is not like the other:
@cjk, until/if Peter provides this feature in KM, I have found this workaround to be quite satisfactory: Just create another Macro Group with global scope, and name it as you like. Then move all of the macros from the built-in Global Macro Group to your new one.
I call mine "[GLOBAL]", and it works quite well.
