Hi Peter – One thing I love when adding an ‘If,Then,Else action’ to a macro is how it visually breaks up the macro into a collapsible block or module containing a bunch of sub-actions.
If I create a macro that I see as having, say, 6 distinct parts or sections to it, I would love to be able to have the macro visually divided up into those sections, with each section being expandable/collapsible. This would help make it clear to me when I’m creating or editing macros, where the particular functional part of the macro that I’m working on begins and ends.
If it’s something you’d consider, then I’d love the ability to put a title or note at the top of each block – like the ‘Comment’ action, but with the ability to jam other actions inside it/below the comment.
HI Peter – Hadn’t thought of using ‘Repeat 1 Time’ as a workaround, so thank you very much for the idea.
Stoked to hear you plans for 7.0 include multiple new features in this area; I shall continue to look forward to it.
If you’re open to any suggestions about the new Group actions, I’d love for there to be a built-in comment field at the top of them, positioned so it is visible when the Group is collapsed. (I’d also love to see this for If/Then/Else actions as well. I find I’m always adding Comment actions above them to remind me at a glance what the condition is, and what actions are contained within if the condition is met – thus preventing me from having to expand them to find out.)
