Its the time in the year when i need to automate completing of my yearly trainings. Yes I am trying to cheat on sitting through training slide shows that I’ve taken for the last 25 years.
in the past i was able to use the find image on the screen, feed it the “next” button which only appeared when the slide audio was done. Now the system changed slightly.
i have it bring Safari to the forefront.
i start a 25x loop
find the image to start the audio, looks like a “>” took a screen shot and fed that into the “find image on screen” box
move and click, 0,0 relative to that image.
scroll down 60 (to find the “continue box”)
pause 10 seconds
find the image to continue, its a big blue box that says continue.
move and click, 0,0 relative to the center for that image.
pause 2 seconds
win!
the issue is that this isn’t working at all. I checked and KBM has all the permissions, it doesn’t seem to even try to find the images or the continue box. this used to work last year when I needed to get through the same trainings. HELP!
I imagine it's having trouble finding the image—you can click the Display button with Find Image to see what Keyboard Maestro sees (assuming you can have the image onscreen and Keyboard Maestro open at the same time). If you don't see it highlighted in a green block, it's not finding the image. Play around with the fuzziness slider to see if it can ever see it.
But do you have to use Found Image? If the button is at the same spot in the window each time, you could click at a location. If you can't do that, you might have to try to make a larger selection that Keyboard Maestro can more easily identify.
The easiest way is to capture to the System Clipboard -- ⌃⇧⌘4 and drag a rectangle round the area of interest -- then Paste into the Action's image well. If you capture to file you can have resolution-matching issues.
