Fixing the macOS "Add to Reading List" issue

Hello, as a heavy Twitter user using Tweetbot, one frustration I have is that Safari's "Add to Reading List" facility for apps other than Safari, appears to be broken. Could one of you bright sparks suggest a way I could use Keyboard Maestro to bridge this gap?
