Hardware button on USB scanner to trigger KM?

Is there any way to use the physical button on my USB-connected Fujitsu fi-6610 scanner to trigger a KM macro? I've searched the forums but can't find a method.

So far I have tried creating a blank macro and using a "this device key" trigger, but nothing populates in the text field.

The scanner is connected via a USB 3.0 hub, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Michael

I have Fujitsu Scansnap, so apologies if yours has different requirements, but when I turn on my ScanSnap by opening the lid, I trigger the ScanSnap software with the following macro. If the turning on part works for your scanner, you could just replace the Activate action in my macro with an Execute Macro action.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. Unfortunately, this model is not supported by ScanSnap Home (or even on the Mac!) but works well with VueScan. I was going to see if I could make the physical button launch VueScan. I'll keep exploring!
