How to Control Menu Bar Icons and Macro Visibility in Keyboard Maestro

Where is this icon in my menu bar coming from, and where can I configure it to hide or show it? What determines which macros it displays? I also have the Keyboard Maestro icon in the menu bar, which also shows the macros I can run.

I’m referring to the “play” icon in the menu bar.

Also, is there a setting for the Macros Palette menu? Does it appear automatically when you add macros that are set to show there?

I gather that you have already established that the icon relates to KM (it only appears when KM’s engine is running).

Check through your macro groups for a group that uses the “play” icon that you mentioned, select it and, in the right-hand panel, select “Do not display in menu bar”.

All active macros within the macro group will be available under the icon in the menu bar.

I shall have to leave someone else to answer that (since I do not use palettes other than conflict palettes).

Thanks! It was indeed my own macro group that I had configured at some point to show up in the menu bar.
