I need to create a macro that, as part of its processing of a variable, needs to remove trailing newlines from the contents of the variable. This is so I can wrap the text with special tags without having any newlines before the ending tag. I've tried a few approaches but haven't figured out how to pull this off. Has anyone done something like this that could give me pointers?
PS @peternlewis – perhaps a minor display bug in the titling of the filter action ?
When we choose the Variable
option from the input-type menu,
the action label is updated as if we had chosen Environment Variable
.
(see above)
Simultaneously, the converse problem is also seen:
A choice of Environment Variable
results in an action name containing just Variable
Missed seeing "Trim Whitespace" among the options and was confused why it wasn't there. But it was. So... yeah, anyway... uh... ahem....
Thank you!
