I have an applescript that returns true or false. How can I tell if it returned true or false?

Your question has no context and therefore can't be answered without speculating, nevertheless I'll have a go at it.

I'm guessing you're wanting to transition from an AppleScript action with a boolean result to a another Keyboard Maestro action where you can test that result.
