How to type a ZERO WIDTH JOINER character

i need to insert the following character (8205; U+200D; ‍) ZERO WIDTH JOINER into a text field that does not accept pasting.

I tried the windows trick of using the Alt+8205 but no luck.

Suggestions welcomed

You can use the token %200D%.

But I doubt it will work. It did not seem to do anything in my testing.

You can use the Emoji viewer to find the zero width space and double click that and it appears to insert it, but Keyboard Maestro is not able to type it (Keyboard Maestro can only generally type keys that can be typed from the keyboard).

All I can think of is to try using the HTML entity ‌.
e.g. র‌য -> র‌য

Of course it would depend upon the form being used.
