Insert text by typing - need to include command-n

I’d like to use KM to get around Quicken’s lack of support for importing CSV files. I’m thinking I can format the CSV such that there is a ‘\t’ between each field and then copy all that text into a “Insert text by typing” action. Where I’m stuck is typing a Command-N before each new entry into Quicken.

I know I can use the action “Type a keystroke” but if I do that, I’ll need to create two actions for each transaction in my CSV - around 1,000 - 1,500 transactions.

I’m new to KM so I’m hoping there’s an easier way of doing this.

Thanks

Hey Paul,

Intuit is still playing import/export games huh?

I think it would be asking for failure to run a long, long insert text by typing job.

I’d take a close look at products like this one, before I tried to brute-force it.

Excellent! I searched all over for an app to do that but didn’t see that one. I just tested it with the demo and it actually works - more than I can say for a couple others I tried previously.

Thanks!
