Is there a way to save the text of the clipboard as an image file?

You can potentially create an image (with the Create New Image action) and then use the Composite onto Image action to put the image on it.

In version 9, in the Clipboard History Switcher, you can just select Set Clipboard to Image in the gear menu to get the image of the text. But there is no specific action to do that.
