Keep consistent character width in menu bar?

I made a simple timer macro that appears in my menu bar, but whenever the numbers change, the width of the menu item also changes, which move menu items by a small amount. Is there a way to set a consistent character width so this doesn't happen?

This is caused by the font type (non-monospace font).
Not sure if monospaced fonts are supported by the OS in the Menubar.
