Keyboard Maestro Editor Megathread

I've updated Navigate to Configured Macro or Subroutine to Version 3.0 :

  1. Uses XQuery* to extract the UUID from the XML for the selected action.
let $keys := /plist/dict/key
let $type := $keys[. = 'MacroActionType']/following-sibling::string[1]
return
  if ($type = 'ExecuteMacro' or $type = 'ExecuteSubroutine') then
    string($keys[. = 'MacroUID']/following-sibling::string[1])
  else if ($type = 'OpenURL') then
    replace(
      string($keys[. = 'URL']/following-sibling::string[1]),
      '^.*keyboardmaestro://m=(.*),
      '$1'
    )
  else
    'Unsupported'
  1. Macro is standalone, i.e., unlike earlier versions does not require any subroutine macros.

*Note: For more information regarding the application of XQuery, refer to SUBROUTINE :: Filtering XML with XQuery - Macro Library - Keyboard Maestro Discourse, by @ComplexPoint.

A recent thread by @ComplexPoint, JUMP to called Subroutine or Macro (or toggle back), motivated me to create Version 3.0. Version 2.0 required the referenced subroutines which slightly complicated the installation.

The latest version of JUMP to called Subroutine or Macro (or toggle back) (Ver 0.09 as of 2025-07-21) leaves the clipboard intact; all versions of Navigate to Configured Macro or Subroutine do the same.

The toggle back feature of JUMP to called Subroutine or Macro (or toggle back) is not included in Navigate to Configured Macro or Subroutine, however, the toggle back can be mimicked using a native feature of the Keyboard Maestro editor: View > Go to Macro > Last Edited (⌥⌘E).
