When adding a Menu action, KM usually sees all top menu items, and their corresponding item lists..
In Dorico, for some reason, the top Write menu does not appear.
Why would that happen? and... is there a fix?
Oops, not a bug. The top menus change depending on the mode selected (Setup, Write, Engrave, Play, Print)... and some are never visible to Keyboard Maestro... Solution? Use Dorico's built-in scripting environment, save the script in the right directory so it shows up in Dorico's Script menu, then access it in KM from there..
I am running into the same problem as I wanted to have a shortcut to toggle "Cycle" in the Play menu. So I've written two scripts within Dorico 6 to achieve this, they work fine in Dorico, but triggering them via KM does not work. Testing the action in the km macro gives me an error "Select Menu Item failed to find target menu item Script -> cycle_on..."
Why could this be?
