MacBook M3 Pro, macOS 15.0.1 and KM 11.0.3 compatibility

First post!
MacBook M3 Pro; macOS 15.0.1; KM 11.0.3

I'm new to KM (a week) but have made a couple macros keyed by typing cc1790 and cc1800 (Census stuff). Seems it worked once, but now when I start typing cc, i get beep, beep. The macros work fine if I just "run" them. I even tried to replace the typing with a hotkey (F6), but another beep. Under the ENGINE/Show Active Macro Groups, my folder for holding the Macros is not shown. Not sure why not. I tried to check OS compatibility but can't find a definitive answer on the web. Suggestions? Thanks.

Beeps usually mean the key is being sent to the wrong app. Yet you said the group isn't being shown when you show the active groups. So I'm not sure how to diagnose it without seeing your macro and the settings for the group that the macro is in. One thing you can do is check if the macros are being triggered when you think they are supposed to be triggered. The log file shows a line for each triggered macro. If the log file doesn't show anything being triggered when you type, then the problem is that they aren't being triggered. If they do show up, then your problem is that the macro isn't working, and we would probably need to see the macro to fix it.

If you are using the Typed String trigger, then the keys will still be processed normally by the system, so you generally must be in a text typing context (eg a text field, an editor, whatever - somewhere you can type normally).

This is especially important if you trigger the macro and the Simulate Deletes option is enabled, as Keyboard Maestro will then simulate the deletes to “delete” the characters you have typed, and the Delete key could cause damage if you are somewhere that is not a text typing context (eg, you have selected a file or other object that could be deleted).

Then it probably isn't active!

Check the Group to make sure it is a) enabled, b) available in the contexts you want to use its macros in, and c) activated. This Group, for example:

...is enabled, is only available when Safari is the active app and, even, then, only if the frontmost window title contains "Freshdesk", and is always activated and showing a palette when all those previous conditions are true.

Post a screenshot of your Macro Group settings along with one of your macros (the actual macro, suitably redacted if there's "personal" stuff in it, not an image -- see How to Post/Upload your Macros and Scripts) and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Meantime, to put your mind at ease -- there are no compatibility issues for the versions etc you listed that would cause this problem.

Thanks for the help. I used the setting you suggested and it seems to work. Not exactly sure what the difference but I'm <week into KM, so still lots to learn. I DO like the fact that when focused inside the program where the macros should run, the little window pops up to select my particular macro. Thanks again to all responders. -les

This also worked when I'm in the app and, as you say, type cc1790 in a text area.
