Macro Triggers for Default Folder X

I have allocated key combinations in Default Folder X for Fav folders, e.g. ⌃A.

Then in KM created a Palette with macros that simulate the Default Folder X shortcuts

However, macro response is very hit or miss. Sometimes work and sometimes does not. Folders referenced are on a mounted webdav server.

Any suggestions as to why there I am getting intermittane responses.
