I just updated to macOS Sequoia and what i would ASSUME is some kind of Mac OS update I can no longer use KM to get and paste passwords saved in my Keychain.
Here is a Marco I got from somewhere on this forum years ago that has allowed me to paste my passwords into both 1Password and on macOS Pop Up's that request the password.
Has anyone else noticed this and or have a workaround? I even tried just inserting and pasting/typing the password in plain text but it still does not work in Password prompts (It works elsewhere like in TextEdit etc.)
I Changed the Macro to remove personal information
Also, bear in mind that KM 11 is not yet said to be compatible with Sequioia, as far as I know, so you are being a brave beta tester. No doubt The KM Architect is working hard right now to address many issues relating to Sequoia.
Just to reassure you that this functionality still works under MacOS Sequoia. I tested just now to be sure. The Macro I use is pretty much identical to yours (and as yours worked up until recently, I doubt it is anything to do with how the Macro is written).
As @Airy has said, maybe it's a permissions issue - granting Keyboard Maestro the permissions to access the keychain. Maybe have a look in Settings in the Privacy & Security section under Automation and see what is listed for Keyboard Maestro. Here's what it shows for me:
excellent news! My premissions match for Keyboard Maestro under the Automaton section but I don't have Keyboard Maestro Engine as an opton there and i cant seem to drag it.
In macOS, you don't drag things (or add things) into that window. I think what you're supposed to do is trigger the items into that list by actually using those permissions prior to having them in the list. A system prompt will appear, and if you confirm it, macOS will add the permission to the list.
If "Keyboard Maestro Engine" isn't there at all, that's definitely an issue. There may be a simple solution, but re-installing KM might be another way to fix the problem.
Turns out it was the combo of hot keys i was using. Apparently, any non-system utility with the only modifier is are not allowed in macOS Sequoia. Which is super annyoing.
From reading that thread, that should only affect sandboxed apps, and Keyboard Maestro isn't sandboxed, so I'm not sure why it would impact your use of those shortcuts?
