Macros quit running

I have been using a macro for quite a while and suddenly it quit working. When I type the trigger nothing happens. Please help me now. Thanks! Nate

Look at the KM ‘Interactive Help’ under the Help menu. This could pin down what is not happening.

Hey nphender welcome to the forum.

Can you run it manually from the editor? is the macro in a group that is available when you trigger it? For example, is the group set to only be available to a certain app? Try changing the trigger to something else and see if it fires with that new trigger.

As @Steve_E says - whenever a macro "does nothing" you need to find out:

  • Is the Keyboard Maestro Engine working normally?
  • Is the Macro Group enabled and active?
  • Is the Macro enabled?
  • Is the trigger firing?
  • Only then do you look at the actions to see what is wrong.

Since this is a common support question, it is exactly what the Interactive Help does for you. Choose Interactive Help from the Help menu, select Something expected is not working, and then follow the instructions.
