Migrating to M1, with Sonoma and Karabiner Elements - hyper key fails

Trying to get a new laptop setup and for some reason my hyper key I created in Karabiner Elements 15.3 is not working. I just hear a click. Basically I am using the caps lock key for a hyper key to run my selection scripts. These are basically about 12 scripts with the same trigger key combo which allows me to type the name and launch the exact "Move To [specific folder]" script.

Is anyone currently using KE 15.3 with KM 10.2 (I plan on upgrading asap but wanted to get rolling).

This is the output from Karabiner so it appears to be doing what it should but for some reason KM is not activating.

I have determined there are two issues. The macros I imported are not working.

Newly created macros work fine using SHIFT+CONTROL+OPTION+COMMAND + M but the ones I imported do not work at all. I also upgraded KM to the latest version though new macros were already working as a test to see if that might help. So Karabiner may not be the problem. I also substituted the Hyperkey app which someone mentioned in another thread as an alternative to Karabiner Elements. (I made sure to disable Karabiner).

So now it looks like it might be an import issue of my Macros. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.

Maybe this is too obvious, but are the imported macros disabled (or in a disabled group)? Since the hyper key is working and newly made macros are working, and it's the only the imported macros that aren't working, this is maybe something to double check.

@hemicyon Thanks for responding. I did think of that and they have the enable box checked. Maybe I will try and move one of them to a different folder and see if that helps.

They do appear to be enabled though. I am hoping I don't have to recreate them all. That would not be fun. :slightly_frowning_face:

Just a thought: Try re-entering the Hot Keys for the KM Macros. I'm wondering if the change in OS/Karabiner versions is necessitating that because Hyperkey as previously entered in KM needs to get re-registered (so to speak) because of the updated Karabiner version.

@NaOH:
I had the same thought. I removed all the key combos to the macros and re-entered them. I also removed Karabiner and made sure the engine wasn't loaded and installed Hyperkey to eliminate Karabiner as the issue. However you got me thinking and I went back and looked real hard. I noted that there were duplicates of the macros. (I have not idea how that happened). So I enabled the folder (it was also disabled), removed the keyboard shortcuts for all of them and re-entered them and voila. Up popped my type ahead menu and they are now working.

I do have one question though. I am not sure why some of the macros are in that folder at the bottom "And 32 Unmatched Macros". I will have to look at that. Maybe they need to be moved to another folder or something.

oh and, Thanks for the help @hemicyon @NaOH !!

It's off your screenshot's bounds but you've probably got something in the Editor's "Search" field, top-right of the Editor window.

Doh! Good catch @Nige_S. That's exactly what it was.
