Use case: when I'm away from home and I want to remember something when I get home, I want to use my phone to raise a note on the desktop Mac.
Stickies do not sync across devices, but Notes do pretty well. So I have a note ("Alerts") that I can update from any device. This macro simply polls Notes periodically and brings the Alerts note forward if it has changed. Seems to work pretty well.
