So this is kind of a complex question because there are multiple ways it could be solved. I'm trying to go mouseless, but it's hard to switch. I would like to use my keyboard a s a mouse in some sense.
I would like to use mouse keys, but there are two problems. The alt shortcut is cumbersome and it again does not work for my external keyboard (no idea why). I've tried to create a macro to hit the alt key multiple times with applescript - didn't work. I also tried to look up some ways online, but none of them seemed to work.
Right now I have the following macro:
This works reasonably well when I'm using my mac keyboard, but for some reason, when I use my external keyboard, it starts to go a bit more glitchy - it opens the pallet since my shortcuts are identical. How can I turn this off?
In addition, I was wondering if there is an easy way to allow the mouse in an accelerated fashion (I imagine, that you need to do some variable work and I'm pretty bad at that). Thanks!
