I'd like to assign a macro to the Num Enter key on my Apple extended keyboard.
Is it possible to differentiate between Num Enter and regular Enter (the key above the right Shift key)?

Do you not find that the keys are treated differently?
Return
and Enter
are indeed separate keys and can be recognised as such in KM.
Thank you. It would never have come to my mind that Return and Enter aren't synonymous.
I see, yes, well it's not a difference that one often needs to think about often in everyday use of a Mac. In general, applications tend to respond to Return
and Enter
in the same way.
One notable exception is if you select a track in Music.app and then press Enter
; rather than starting playback, as Return
would do, the Title field is selected, ready for editing.
Well, the words "Return" and "Enter" are printed right on the two different keys.
Nope. Not in my backyard, er, on my keyboard. Apple has different labels on different keyboards. Same for Option/Alt/⌥
Top tip for laptop users, confused by their lack of an Enter
key...
You can get Enter
by using Fn-Return
-- great for apps like FileMaker that treat the two keys differently.
And also works for KM triggers!
