"Open the Finder Selection" action not working with QuickTime Player?

This action suddenly stopped working with QuickTime Player a few weeks back.

When I try to open a file using the action, I see the following error message: "The application "QuickTime Player.app" can't be opened." (The error message actually pops up twice, for whatever reason.)

Any ideas on what might be going on? Thanks!

This sort of problem has already been raised, in the recent thread “The Application Can’t Be Opened”. I hope it will give you some ideas to try out.
