OS keyboard shortcut issues with KM on macOS Sierra

Currently on GM build but had the same issue with previous PB builds on a different MacBook

KM v7.2.1.

In summary, some OS shortcut (CMD-W, CMD-T, CMD-Q, etc.) don’t always work when KM Engine is running. I have to type the shortcut multiple times (2 to 6 times) for it to work.

As soon as I quit KM Engine, it works fine. I uninstalled KM and it’s associated files but still the same.

Using KM 7.2.1.

Any idea? Thanks

EDIT: It appears to be CMD-xxxx shortcuts only

Is a macro firing? Check the Engine.log file (Help ➤ Open Logs Folder).

If a macro is not firing, then I cannot imagine any reason Keyboard Maestro would affect any other command keys.

Nice, I wasn't aware of this log file. Yes, it's an issue with a macro. Issue I didn't have on El Capitan FYI.

Macro:

I have a few of them for other apps (Photos, etc) that I'll disable until this gets cleared out.

The issue is nothing to do with Sierra, but simply that typing a keystroke that matches an active trigger has undefined behaviour - it may or may not trigger the macro.

Instead, create a macro group that is active in Notes, and put your macro in there, and have it triggered by Command-W and type Command-H.

The macro as shown will not work reliably (or may or may not work reliably depending on a plethora of factors).

I’ll do, thanks!
