Paste from named clipboard not working

if i do copy to named clipboard in one macro, then paste from named clipboard in another, it doesn’t paste from named clipboard. instead it pastes whatever I have recently copied. How can I change this?

I do this all the time and it works for me.

Can you please post your two macros, and the versions of KM and OS X you are running.
