The text that I paste into an action disappears. This happens only with some actions.
I tried quitting. I wish I knew how to turn off the engine, but I don't.
File → Quit Engine.
As for your macros, I don't see that you've specified a file to create in step one, or a folder name in step two? Did you blank those out for posting purposes?

It started pasting. So the problem dissappeared. Thank you for telling me where quit edit is.

@griffman told you how to quit the engine, not the edit.
Is it possible that the value you are trying to copy past has a newline at the end? If you copy something including a newline, the cursor will go to the next line. Simply backspacing may remove the newline and show your pasted content.

You have pasted -- look very closely at the Action names and you'll see an opening double-quote and no closing quote. That means you've pasted some text that starts with an empty line -- the Action names only show the first line of any included text.
