Pasting selected text into Vonage desktop app

I’m trying to do the following:

While I have a phone # selected (800-555-1212 for example):

Copy it to the clipboard;
Select the Vonage app;
Click a few times to get to the right place in the app;
Paste into the field.

I have most of it working, but it seems that my COPY doesn’t always grab what I have selected.

Is there some trick to making sure that the clipboard gets the selected text every time?

It’s possible you need to put a short pause immediately after the copy, like .3 or .5 seconds or something like that. That’s always the first thing to try. If that doesn’t work, report back and we’ll see what else we can come up with.
