I sincerely apologize that I dared to suggest an alternative app as a solution 
(That’s where the whole derailment started.)
But, judging by the number of clicks on the MacPass link (and @sims’s post 7 months later), there seem to be users who are interested in alternative apps. So, at least, it was not completely in vain
