When I moved my blog I didn't update the link to my post.
That page at www.ibm.com
no longer exists.
(Thatās what happens when I comment without having read the entire thread.)
Yeah, I moved my entire blog to Wordpress. (A long story - and, with over 500 posts at the time, a long process.)
(Don't ask me why IBM shut down developerWorks; Sometimes - if you want something to persist - you have to pay for it yourself.)
Actually, having moved onto two new machines, I need to re-implement this myself.
Thanks @MartinPacker, I read your blogpost and Iām immediately brainstorming. Is it possible to have different PC menus in different contexts?
If not, I imagine that I could determine the context in KBM and display different menus at that level. E.g., the choices that I want when Iām editing a markdown file would be different than if Iām selecting text on a web page.
And that would depend on what kind of web page, etc. Like using the selection to be the title of the bookmark instead of the default page title, unless Iām using Gmail.
Like I said, brainstormingā¦
Thanks.
Your problem is going to be defining contexts and detecting them.
Possibly Keyboard Maestro can discover the front application and act on it.
