Prompt with List doesn't display list with more than 99 items

I’ve got the Prompt with List action set up to use a variable that sometimes contains a very long list. When the list is more than 99 lines long, the prompt window doesn’t display any items—it just shows the search box. When I begin typing in the search box, it starts displaying an items in the list that match the characters I’ve typed, so I can select them as normal from there.

Is this deliberate or a bug?

It is deliberate.

Normal “spotlight” behaviour for a blank search is to show nothing.

When there is a reasonable number of items, Keyboard Maestro shows the list so you can select by scrolling and clicking.

For more than a hundred, this becomes an inefficient way of finding things, and also eventually becomes a performance issue.
