Purpose of Group Action?

After stumbling across JMichaelTX’s macro [KM] Put Selected Actions into Group Action I looked up Group (action) in the wiki, but I don’t see the utility of it. What’s different about running actions inside a group action than simply running them in the main part of a macro?

Hey Pariah,

Nothing at all.

A group is simply a means of organizing actions.

In big macros it can be very convenient to group related actions and collapse them while working on other things. It can make such a macro significantly less overwhelming.

Got it. Thanks, Chris.

It’s also handy for disabling/enabling multiple actions at once. (Disabling the group disables all contained actions.)

Groups can also have a timeout.
