I'm trying to do something very Specific, I want to copy the cue name from Qlab (mac only app) and import the name into Microsoft Word, Make it draw a box and insert copy text with boarder a selection of different fill colours (but this could be optional). let me know if this can be done.

Write down the steps you take, in order, when you do this manually. That will give you an idea of the actions you'll need to use in your macro and, more importantly, will firm up the details of what you want to do.
A detailed plan may help you answer your own question -- "I highlight a thing in Qlab then Copy it -- Ah! KM has a "Copy" action, so I can highlight manually then start my macro with that..." -- but it will also help you ask questions here. Is this an already open Word doc or a new one? How big should the box be? What kind/size of border? And so on.
